Daya Mina, or ‘Pool of Love’ is a day center for young girls and boys up to the age of 35.  Started in 1970, Daya Mina currently has attendance of over 40 students from the Colombo district.  There are 6 Sisters and 8 other staff members at Daya Mina. There is also an early intervention program for young children between the age of 04-06.

Daya Mina offers the same education and life skill facilities as Supem Uyan but on a Day Care basis.  In addition it offers more opportunities for the mentally challenged to participate in handicraft and life skills.  Dancing, singing and creation of works of art of various forms are daily activities at Day Mina.  As it is in the capital, Special teachers, visiting experts and volunteers are part and parcel of the teaching staff of Daya Mina.

Daya Mina has also one of the most active Special Needs Girl Guide Groups working closely with the Sri Lankan Girl Guides Association.  The guides of Dayamina take a very active role in helping their friends while on site at Dayamina and looking after their immediate environment in addition to the normal guiding activities like camping and singing and dancing round bonfires! Dayamina also has an annual exhibition and sale of the art and handcraft done by the young individuals.
